Mixing:
Thoroughly mix base resin by slow-speed paddle drill. Thoroughly agitate hardener container to disperse any storage settlement. Add hardener to base resin and mix until a homogeneous consistent colour is achieved.
Application:
Chemdur systems should be installed ideally at 18-20°C. Minimum 7°C, maximum 25°C. Applied by brush, roller or spray.
Coverage Rates (kg/m2):
Coloured Gloss: 0.32. Coloured Silk: 0.30. Coloured Matt: 0.30. Clear (All finishes): 0.30. All coverage rates based on a recommended 2 coat application.
Curing Schedule (20°C):
Pot life: 1 hour. Overcoating time: 16 hours. Light foot traffic: Approx 16 hours. Hard finish: 48 hours. Full cure: 7 days.
Chemdur Gloss 2-Pack

Chemdur is a two pack, chemical resistant paint suitable for floors and walls available in a gloss, silk or matt finish. It offers excellent protection from a wide range of chemicals.

Chemdur is an aliphatic solvent-based UV stable polyurethane coating.  The cured coating has excellent abrasion and chemical resistance and exhibits excellent weathering properties. The coating is particularly effective against Skydrol and has been used extensively in the aviation industry for hangar floors and walls.  

Suitable Surfaces

Concrete, Render, Brick, Plasterboard, Steel and Aluminium.

NB: For plasterboards, one generous coat of Strongcoat V is required.

Surface Preparation

Surfaces to be treated must be sound free from oil or other contaminants, flaky paints, laitance and dust.  Smooth and dense surfaces must be mechanically abraded to provide a key and all dust

Usage: Indoor or Outdoor

Resistant to: A wide range of acids and other chemicals.

Coverage: ~30 square metres per 5kg (one coat).

Coats Required: Two coats are usually required

Drying Time: Normally 16 hours at 20oc for foot traffic

Cleaning: Hot water and detergents.

Thickness: 0.5mm

Primer: Not required.
